Covid-19, 2020 and Projects
[link—standalone]
I've been thinking a lot about the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
It's affected almost every nation on earth and is such a force in our lives.
The idea that things can just go back to normal is absurd it can't.
Life didn't go back to normal after the Great Depression or the Housing bubble burst in 2008.
Having been a teenager in the financial ruin of the world in 2008 did shape me in one way or another
Covid-19 is a marker in future history books and a collective trauma on the human population
That's just something we gotta deal with.
Obviously this isn't a new thought but it's the truth and we just gotta deal with it in our own ways
For me it's projects be it this very website or fixing a house, writing or just simply focusing on self-improvement
I believe the youtuber CGP Grey made a great video about staying focused and mentally and physically sane in a pandemic.
Which you can find here if you're interested.
It's easy to spiral with what's going on and will continue to go on. Covid-19 may one day be cured,
but the ecenomic clash, the damage it's done to industries that may never recover from this or simply the germophobia that we likely carry with us through our lives is a reason to keep busy and keep trying to be a better person and enrich your lives.
I mean that's the best thing we can do right?
